Kenya has dropped the Electronic Travel Authorisation ETA requirement for South African passport holders, as well as passport holders from other Southern African countries.
At the beginning of the year, it was reported that Kenya would drop the ETA for a number of African nations following a directive by the government. However, there was no indication of when the directive would be implemented.
Now, according to the ETA website, South Africans no longer require the travel authorisation to enter Kenya. Citizens from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi, Lesotho, Botswana are among those also exempt from the ETA.
