Kaizer Chiefs have risen to third in the Betway Premiership after a tight 1-0 win against Lamontville Golden Arrows and a surprise Sekhukhune United 1-0 loss to a seemingly revived Stellenbosch FC.
22-year-old defender Aden McCarthys 39th-minute goal was enough to hand the Glamour Boys the win at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg, on Tuesday evening 20 January.
Questions will linger whether McCarthy was offside or not, but Amakhosi will be grateful to grab all three points in a fairly lacklustre game.
