Kagiso Rabada Returns To The Field After Serving Doping Suspension

South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been cleared to participate in the sport again after successfully completing a month-long doping suspension, Cape town Etc reports.
The announcement, made by the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport Saids, follows Rabadas positive test for a Substance of Abuse during the Betway SA20 T20 competition on January 21, 2025.
Rabadas ordeal began when he was tested after a match between MI Cape Town and Durban Super Giants. He was informed of the doping allegation on April 1, 2025, which led to the imposition of a provisional suspension as he returned to South Africa from India. In a sign of accountability, Rabada accepted responsibility for his actions promptly.
Saids elaborated on the process Rabada undertook during his suspension, stating, As per the South African Anti-Doping Rules specifically pertaining to Substances of Abuse, the Player was offered an opportunity to complete a substance abuse treatment programme,
Rabada successfully completed two sessions of this treatment, leading to the conclusion of his provisional suspension.
