Economic Freedom Fighters EFF leader Julius Malema has vowed to appeal his guilty verdict in the long-running firearms case.
The East London magistrates court found him guilty on all five counts of charges on Wednesday 1 October.
They included unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm in a built-up area or public place, failure to take reasonable precautions to avoid danger to persons or property, and reckless endangerment of people or property.
