The Truth and Reconciliation Commission TRC Cases Inquiry Chairperson Justice Sisi Khampepe is expected to hand down judgment on Friday on whether Adv Ishmael Semenya will continue as the Commissions Chief Evidence leader.
On Wednesday, the inquiry heard oral arguments from the lawyers of several families of victims of apartheid-era violence, the National Prosecutions Authority NPA and the Justice and Constitutional Development Department, who applied for Semenya to stand down.
They have asserted that he is conflicted by consulting work he has done for the two state institutions in the past.
