Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has unveiled a new National Digital Transformation Strategy for 2026-2028. This comprehensive framework is designed to align with the country's three core modernization initiatives: the Economic Modernization Vision, the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap, and the Political Modernization Document.
The strategy's overarching vision is to build a digitally empowered, secure, and sustainable Jordan that can harness technology and innovation to fuel economic expansion. It focuses on three primary areas: establishing an advanced digital infrastructure, cultivating a competitive digital economy, and promoting an inclusive, sustainable society.
Key objectives of the plan include providing unified, user-centered platforms for government services and creating a national digital economy driven by technology and entrepreneurship. The strategy is built on five strategic pillars: digital infrastructure, seamless government services, digital identity and signature, privacy and digital trust, and digital inclusion. These pillars are supported by foundational elements such as robust legislative frameworks, strategic partnerships, data governance, and the integration of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies.
