The Democratic Alliances DA Federal Executive Committee Fedex has accepted a recommendation to institute a disciplinary inquiry into whether Federal Leader John Steenhuisen and Federal Finance Chairperson Dr Dion George have violated the partys constitution.
The potential violations relate to bringing the party into disrepute, reflecting negatively on the party and undermining internal co-operation within the party, Federal Council Chairperson Helen Zille said in a statement on Monday 12 January.
Steenhuisen and George face DA inquirySteenhuisen and George have clashed in recent months following the latters removal from the Cabinet by President Cyril Ramaphosa at Steenhuisens request.
