Gabriel Jesus has been reinstated in Arsenal's Champions League squad as the Brazilian forward edges closer to returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The 28-year-old has not played since January after suffering a knee injury during an FA Cup match against Manchester United, an absence that has significantly reduced Arsenal's attacking options over the past year. However, Jesus has now resumed full training and was named among the substitutes in recent Premier League fixtures against Chelsea and Brentford, signalling his return to fitness.
Arsenal confirmed that Jesus has replaced teenage winger Max Dowman in their UEFA A list ahead of Wednesday's group-stage clash away to Club Brugge. Dowman sustained an ankle injury while playing for the club's under-21 side at the weekend, prompting the squad change.
