Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi has reacted afterRohit Sharma overtook his record for hitting most sixes in ODIs. Rohit recently surpassed Afridi's count of 351 to top the charts. Afridi claimed that he has always found Rohit's batting elegant, and expressed happiness that he went past his record.
He also recounted their playing days in the inaugural Indian Premier League IPL in 2008 at Deccan Chargers, revealing that he had a gut feeling that Rohit will represent India, which turned out to be true.
Rohit, who has 355 sixes to his name in ODIs, went past Afridi's tally in Ranchi in the first ODI of the recently-concluded three-match series against South Africa. The record-beating six was a pull shot off Marco Jansen's bowling, which was his third six in the his innings.
