The Technology Innovation Agency TIA has launched a massive R,2 billion Technology Innovation Fund, specifically aimed at tackling youth unemployment.
The agency, which is an entity of the Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation believes that fostering innovation is pivotal to driving economic inclusion and sustainable development for the countrys youth.
The fund is entirely made up of proceeds from the agencys investment in Kapa Biosystems, which finally paid out following a grueling 20-year legal battle.
