Cricket South Africa CSA confirmed on Tuesday that the South Africa Women's team will be hosting the Indian contingent for a five-match T20I series in April 2026, a high-intensity clash ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in England. Top cricketers from both countries are currently busy playing in the Women's Premier League WPL 2026.
The action will get underway in Durban, where the city will host the first two games on April 17 and 19. The action then will shift to Johannesburg for back-to-back encounters on April 22 and 25, before the series concludes in Benoni on April 27.CSA's Director of National Teams and High Performance, Enoch Nkwe, underlined the importance of the series.
This five-game T20I series will be the Proteas' final official assignment before the T20 World Cup begins on June 12 in England. South Africa and India find themselves in the same group alongside Australia and Pakistan, in addition to a couple of teams who will make their way in after playing the qualifiers.
