The Human Settlements Department says it intends to eradicate no less than 6 950 mud houses across the country during this financial year.
Minister of Human Settlements Thembi Simelane has tabled the budget vote for the department in Parliament for the 2026/27 financial year.
The department has been given R26.972 billion budget from the fiscus for the current financial year.
