Three learners and the principal of Hoerskool Roodepoort sustained injuries following a fight with learners from West Ridge High school, west of Johannesburg.
The learners have been hospitalised while the principal was discharged after being treated for stab wounds sustained on the hand as she tried to defuse tensions between the learners.
Gauteng Education spokesperson Steve Mabona says six Grade 12 boys from West Ridge High School have been identified and will be served with suspension letters on Tuesday pending their appearance before a disciplinary committee.
