The historic Tokai Manor house in Cape Town, which is owned by SANParks, is being evacuated as a safety precaution. This is as the fire rages in the mountains above Tokai.
Helicopters have been water bombing the area since Monday morning. The manor house, which is a provincial heritage building, is one of SANParks administrative offices.
About 3000 hectares of vegetation have burnt in the fire since Friday.
