A High Court battle is underway over the proposed K148 road in Gauteng.
The roads construction has been halted by an interdict, but the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport is appealing, with the hearing set for mid February.
Concerns include a reduced wetland buffer zone and failure to scope a sewerage plant.
