American retail giant Walmarts first store in South Africa, located at Clearwater Mall in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, will open on Saturday, 22 November 2025 at 08:00.
This will mark its official entry into the country, it said in a statement on Monday 17 November. However, it owns retailers such as Makro , Game and Builders through its 100 percent-owned subsidiary Massmart.
