Heavy rain at Margate on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast has caused major flooding in the Central Business District CBD.
Videos of the scene show huge volumes of water washing down roads and alleyways in the centre of town.
Trees have also been uprooted blocking some roads in the area. The popular Shelley Beach centre at nearby Shelley Beach was also flooded.
