The Eastern Cape Health Department has issued an urgent warning following a suspected outbreak of paediatric illness cases in Aberdeen.
The department says it has recorded an increase in children presenting with similar respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms at its facilities between the 30th of January overlapping to February.
Provincial Health Department Spokesperson, Camagwini Mavovana, says the situation is currently classified as a suspected localised outbreak, pending laboratory confirmation.
