Global self-care giant Haleon is injecting R500 million into its Cape Town manufacturing plant to ramp up production and expand its export footprint across Africa.
The investment will enable technology upgrades and capacity expansion, with plans to extend exports into Southern Africa by 2026 and further into sub-Saharan markets by 2027.
The Epping facility already produces around one billion stick packs of Grand-Pa headache powders annually and operates 24/7. As per Moneywebs coverage, local manufacturing leads emphasise that the move will reduce Africa's reliance on global supply chains and strengthen pandemic preparedness.
