A Wednesday morning turned into tragedy in Belhar when a 35-year-old father was shot dead just after dropping off his children at the Logos Assembly of God Church's ECD Centre.
Police were called to Drake Street at about 7:50am and arrived to find the man with gunshot wounds to his head and body. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene, as per Smile FM .
According to reports, the victim had just dropped off his children when he was confronted by an unidentified gunman, who opened fire before escaping. The motive behind the killing remains under investigation.
