The South African government has praised Bafana Bafana for a historic FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign that saw the national team reach the knockout stages for the first time, despite a 1-0 defeat to Canada in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The result brought South Africas World Cup campaign to an end.
In a statement, the government expressed pride in Bafana Bafanas achievements throughout the tournament and thanked South Africans for their support.
