The 8th Global Fund Replenishment Summit has mobilised over R190 billion to combat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis TB and Malaria across the world, especially in high-burden countries.
The meeting was held on the margins of the G20 Summit underway in Nasrec, Johannesburg.
Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says the Global Fund partnership has saved 70 million lives since 2002, and cut the combined death rate from HIV, TB and Malaria by 63.
