The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, briefed the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications during an oversight visit to the Ministry.
The engagement, held at the Ministry's Conference Room, provided a platform for the Minister and his management team to update Members of Parliament on key sector policies, regulatory frameworks, and the mandates of agencies under the Ministry, including the National Communications Authority NCA, the National Information Technology Agency NITA, and the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications GIFEC.
Hon. George outlined the Ministry's policy priorities, including improving telecom service quality, expanding digital inclusion in underserved areas, strengthening consumer protection, and advancing Ghana's digital transformation agenda. He also shared updates on legislative reviews, spectrum management, and infrastructure projects such as the rollout of Digital Terrestrial Television DTT.
