The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport has launched the Points Person of the Future Programme. It is aimed at improving traffic management and road safety across the province.
The department says the programme will introduce traffic points personnel equipped with body cameras and digital reporting tools to enhance response times and commuter safety .
MEC Kedibone Diale-Tlabela has warned that vandalism and theft at intersections will not be tolerated.
