The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport is accelerating the rollout of Smart Driver Licence Testing Centres DLTCs across the province, bringing modern, efficient and ethical licensing services closer to communities while strengthening road safety.

Smart DLTCs currently in operation include Atteridgeville, Denlyn, Maponya Mall, Centurion, Protea Glen and Midrand, with the Umphakathi Smart DLTC scheduled to open soon. The expansion is aimed at improving access to quality licensing services, particularly in townships and underserved communities.

These technologically advanced facilities are designed to improve the licensing experience by offering faster turnaround times and greater convenience. Fully integrated into the eNaTIS administration system, the centres function as comprehensive licensing hubs, providing services such as vehicle licence renewals, driving licence applications, renewals, and related transactions.
