After more than 140 years of construction, Barcelonas Sagrada Familia is set to reach a major milestone in 2026 with the completion of its final tower, in time for the centenary of the death of its architect, Antoni Gaud .
Construction of the central tower, known as the Tower of Jesus Christ, began on October 30, marking the final phase of the basilicas exterior works.
The interior and faade will continue to undergo upgrades and maintenance over the next decade.
