Key Areas of CollaborationThe partnership focuses on several critical areas to advance Gabons digital agenda. The two entities will work on deploying digital solutions to streamline and modernize public services and government administration. They will also support the digitization of payments, enhance digital education initiatives, and expand the national digital network.
On the infrastructure front, plans include integrating a sovereign cloud via Africa 50s datacenter platform and strengthening the national fiber-optic network in collaboration with existing operators. The meeting also highlighted the need for increased energy production to support these new digital infrastructures.
Next Steps and VisionAfrica 50 commended Gabons digital strategy, particularly its move to consolidate fiber-optic infrastructure for improved efficiency and governance. The Ministry underscored the importance of structuring profitable investments to reduce the financial burden on the state while meeting citizen demand for better digital services.
