Eligible Showmax subscribers in South Africa will get free trial access to the DStv Stream Compact package for two months and pay a discounted price of R99 per month thereafter for 12 months, DStv has announced.
This is part of MultiChoices move to a single streaming home on DStv Stream, the pay-TV broadcaster said in a statement on Wednesday 1 April.
Showmax subscribers to get free DStv Stream CompactMultiChoice, now under new owner Canal, announced in March that it was discontinuing Showmax. It has now confirmed that the platform will end on 30 April 2026, with Showmax Originals continuing on DStv Stream.
