Franco D'este's family says the justice system failed them after the Cape Town Regional Court acquitted the man accused of killing their son.
The Daily Voice reported D'este, a 20-year-old dancer and entrepreneur, died after being shot in the Cape Town CBD on the 7th September 2019. He passed away shortly after arriving at Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital.
Accused killer walks freeThe accused, Ethan Fisher turned himself in and handed over his firearm. Police charged him with murder and attempted murder. The court released him on R2 000 bail.
Franco's parents, Natasha and Matthys du Toit, say the verdict has left them shattered.
