Florence will ban outdoor dining across some of the busiest streets in its historic centre.
Under new regulations approved by the Municipality of Florence at the end of last year, outdoor dining will be banned on around 50 narrow, high-traffic streets where tables and chairs have blocked pedestrian routes.
Stricter limits will also apply to more than 70 other locations, where restaurants can still have outdoor seating but with stricter restrictions on size and layout, according to TravelMole .
