Five alleged suspects have been shot dead in a shootout with police at Bester in Inanda, north of Durban.
The incident comes after another separate shooting, which left two alleged suspects fatally wounded by police at Amaoti in Inanda on Wednesday.
Police say the pair was wanted in connection with the shooting of four people, which left two dead and one injured at Ezimangweni area in Inanda on Tuesday night.
