The first of three funerals for the police constables whose bodies were recovered from the Hennops River in Centurion, Gauteng is set to takes place on Thursday.

Boipelo Senoge died along with two of her colleagues, Keamogetswe Buys and Cebekhulu Linda.

Senoge would have turned 25 last Sunday. Her birthday came only days after her remains were retrieved from the river and confirmed by her family.

The three constables went missing on the 23rd of April and were found in the river six days later following a suspected car crash.

Senoges unit commander at the Park Road Police Station, Constable Mandile Mkhetho, says, he had looked forward to doing something for Senoge on her birthday.
