Two separate policing operations in Cape Town's metro have resulted in the recovery of illegal firearms, underscoring the continued focus on routine patrols and visibility as part of crime prevention efforts, Cape townEtc reports.
The first incident unfolded on Wednesday evening in Ilitha Park, Khayelitsha, where Lingelethu police were conducting a vehicle checkpoint along Ntlazane Road, as per reported by the South African Police Services.
Officers stopped a white Chevrolet Optra carrying four occupants and proceeded with a search of both the vehicle and those inside.
