Aphelele Fassi will take the field at fullback for the Springboks in Cape Town this Saturday, stepping into the starting line-up after Willie le Roux was forced to withdraw due to a training niggle, Cape town Etc reports.

Le Roux, who earlier this season became only the eighth player in South African rugby history to reach 100 Test caps, was unable to recover in time, leaving coach Rassie Erasmus to make a late adjustment to the backline.

Fassi, who made his first start against the Wallabies last week in Johannesburg in a 38-22 defeat, will now get a second consecutive run at the position, providing continuity in the team's efforts to turn around their Championship campaign.
