The Khayelitsha Magistrates Court in Cape Town has sentenced two accused to long jail terms in connection to a mass shooting in the Endlovini informal settlement in 2022, in which five people were killed.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg says the accused, Madoda Zwayi and Thembani Kobe, were found guilty of five counts of murder.
He says Zwayi was sentenced to 75 years imprisonment, while Kobe received a life sentence.
