Reports have confirmed that a 68-year-old woman died tragically after being trampled by a herd of elephants at the Sirheni Bushveld Camp in the northern section of Kruger National Park on Saturday night.
According to The Lowvelder , the elderly woman left her shared chalet around 11pm on Saturday evening.
Security camera footage captured her walking out of the camp gate and onto the park road.
The exact circumstances of the encounter remain unclear, pending SAPS investigation.
