EcoTraining has launched a new online NQF4 bridging course in response to the upcoming restructuring of South Africas guiding qualifications as accreditation shifts from Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority skills programmes to the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations QCTO.
The 10-week online course is designed to help field guides prepare for the new framework, which is expected to introduce revised training structures, assessment processes and administrative requirements. Guides without NQF4 certification may be required to complete additional training once the QCTO system is fully implemented with possible implications for timelines and costs.
EcoTrainings offering is positioned as an opportunity for guides to secure recognised qualifications without stepping out of employment.
