Many of South Africas 90s kids have nostalgic memories of K-TV, a live, interactive playground of cartoons, games, competitions and cool kids every afternoon.
Launched on M-Net in 1990, the popular kids' programming block became a cultural phenomenon that united children across South Africa.
By the time DStv launched in 1995, K-TV presenters were celebrities, its Playback segment introduced kids to the latest music and international stars often dropped by the studio. Based in Randburg, Gauteng, the segment became king of the airwaves until it signed off in 2011.
