Former cabinet minister and academic, Dr Naledi Pandor has been appointed as the new chancellor of the Nelson Mandela University NMU in Gqeberha.
Dr Pandor succeeds the current chancellor, Dr Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi whose term ends at the end of March.
University Spokesperson Dr Luzuko Jacobs says Dr Pandor embodies the NUM identity.
