The Western Cape High Court is expected to hear an appeal by various environmental conservation organisations on Monday.
They are challenging Governments Environmental Authorisation decision granted to an international energy company for oil and gas exploration in the Deep Western Orange Basin.
The basin is situated offshore along the province and southern Namibia.
