South African Municipal Workers Union Samwu Deputy General Secretary Nkhetheni Muthavhi has been elected as the unions new president.
Delegates attending the unions 13th National Congress in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, elected new national office bearers on Wednesday.
Muthavhis previous position was filled by Sam Lukheleni after a contestation.
