The Basic Education Department has urged the public to be wary of a fraudulent social media post currently circulating online. The post falsely claims that learners must pay a fee to enrol in the Matric Second Chance Programme .
The programme supports those who have not met the requirements of the National Senior Certificate.
The department says the registration for the programme closed on Tuesday.
