The Democratic Alliance DA in Ekurhuleni says it suspects political interference to be the cause of the delay to release the disciplinary report of Ekurhuleni Metro Police Acting Chief, Julius Mkhwanazi .
The report was expected to be released last Thursday.
However, Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza says that more time is needed to ensure that all necessary procedures are followed before the release of the report.
