The Democratic Alliance DA says it has submitted a Promotion of Access to Information Act PAIA application to obtain the full record of the decisions of Tourism Minister Patricia De Lille to dissolve the Tourism Board .
This follows allegations that emerged during De Lilles appearance before the Portfolio Committee on Tourism this week, that she interfered in investigations by the Auditor-General. De Lille is also alleged to be shielding suspended CEO Nombulelo Guliwe, who is accused of wasting about R4.1 million of taxpayers money.
DA Member of Parliament, Hassena Ismail, says in the PAIA application, they want access to the Ngubane Forensic report into Guliwe and the legal advice De Lille relied on to dissolve the Board.
