The Democratic Alliance DA in Mogalakwena Municipality in Limpopo says it will write to the Public Protector and the Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs CoGTA minister to request investigations into allegations of corruption at the institution.
The allegations implicate senior municipal officials, provincial CoGHSTA MEC Basikopo Makamu and Premier Phophi Ramathuba.
According to reports circulated on social media, Ramathuba is alleged to have been involved in signing payments exceeding millions of rand by the municipal manager to companies linked to both the Premier and Makamu.
