An attempt by Black Rock Mining to temporarily freeze a portion of the Please Call Me settlement paid by Vodacom to Nkosana Makate has been dismissed in the High Court in Johannesburg.
The court ruled that Black Rock, represented by businessman Errol Elsdon, failed to prove that Makate intended to hide or dissipate the funds.
Black Rock had approached the court on an urgent basis to block access to 40 percent of Makates settlement which remains subject to a non-disclosure agreement.
