Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana says the key message being taken to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum in January, is that South Africa is ripe for investment and ready to do business.

Speaking to the media at a pre-WEF business breakfast, Godongwana said trade negotiations with the United States are ongoing, adding that government is also in the process of appointing an ambassador to that country.

The minister says South Africa will resume its G20 participation in 2027 following the countrys exclusion from US G20 next year.
