Constantia Hills Power Outage Unrelated To Planned Maintenance

A power outage that affected a portion of Constantia Hills early this morning is not connected to the scheduled infrastructure maintenance set for today, Cape town Etc reports.

The fault location has been identified, and technicians are currently on-site working to resolve the issue. While some areas have been rerouted to alternative grids, properties in close proximity to 10-14 Welgelee Road are unable to be redirected at this time.

To mitigate any further disruption, a mobile generator has been requested to be on standby in case repairs take longer than 24 hours.

Residents are urged to reduce energy consumption by turning off high-power items, such as geysers and inverters, in order to prevent secondary power trips when the grid is restored.
