The Gauteng Legislatures Portfolio Committee on Community Safety has expressed concern that there are no operational holding cells at the Olievenhoutbosch Police Station in Centurion.
This follows an unannounced oversight visit by the committee to the station.
Overcrowding was also highlighted as a serious issue, with nearly 30 detectives forced to share a single office due to limited space.
