The urgent court interdict application by City Power against the Hawks is expected to get underway in the Johannesburg High Court today. The matter was postponed earlier this week to allow the Hawks time to file outstanding documents.
The court action follows a search and seizure operation carried out by the specialised police unit at City Powers headquarters last month.
The power utility is now challenging the legality of the operation, claiming it was unlawful and that the Hawks did not possess a valid warrant at the time of the incident.
